Overall Den of Vipers was an intense, dark read that I wasn’t expecting to like as much as I did. But if you enjoy reading dark things – it’s a great read. There were times where I had to just put the book down and rejig my brain. If you aren’t used to dark romances, reverse harem’s and very complicated characters and stories this is not for me. And then there is Diesel, who I can’t even begin to explain Diesel. Kenzo is one of the more ‘normal’ vipers. Ryder is the leader and the protector, Garrett is the one that is dark and mysterious but will scare you. Roxy is hard and doesn’t take shit from anyone. I really enjoyed all the protagonist of Den of Vipers. However, in the context of the book – it sorta works. Some things happened throughout the story, that if they happened in real life – I would hate. The characters and grey, but more on the dark side of life. It’s explicit, harsh and doesn’t hold back.

This is a dark, complicated, reverse harem romance that has some very questionable moments. And while I did really enjoy it, this book is not for everyone. Like I said I haven’t read many dark romances before, but I wanted to give this one a go. I saw it floating around the bookish community, especially the romance community and it caught my eye. I didn’t know what to expect when I picked Den of Vipers up. The Vipers? I’m going to make them regret the day they took me. They can own my body, but they will never have my heart. They want everything I am, everything I have to give, and won’t stop until they get just that. Their scarred, blood-stained hands holding me tight. The old man ran up a debt with them and then sold me to cover his losses. They are not people you mess with, yet my dad did. Their deals are as sordid as their business, and their reputation is enough to bring a grown man to his knees, forcing him to beg for mercy. Ryder, Garrett, Kenzo, and Diesel-The Vipers.
